the difference is whether or not the hatred is government sponsored. we have holidays marking diversity, constant efforts to improve seen in the sheer number and financial resources of non-profits designed to fight hate groups, and well, a government that encourages people to get along with outlandish prison sentences if they don't (hate crime laws) ... saudi arabia has textbooks that teach children that i want to kidnap them and bake my pesach bread with there blood (i'm jewish). if you can't see that difference, then you are either ignorant, or trying to convince yourself that america is to blame for all the world's evil .... as for this author being another "imperialistic american", you can count me as one too, if it means that i'm trying to stop children from being infected by hatred so they won't blow up the building i work in.
