This retrograde interpretation of the Noah story can hardly be called secular or non-indoctrinating.

I do think that both the Bible and the Koran should be taught in public schools (as electives, not requirements). Understanding both of these books is critical to understanding our cultures and our world. Also, a good understanding of these books is the best weapon against fundamentalism.
