Re: Darwin believed in creation.
by Anna Keppa

Darwin's first edition of "The Origin of Species" (Nov. 1859) does not contain a reference to God or the Creator. He added a reference to the Creator in the final paragraph of the 2nd edition, published in jan. 1860, apparently as a sop to those who objected to Darwin's theory as necessarily positing a purely materialist universe.

But note his book is not titled "The Origin of Life". Darwin had little substantive to say about that subject, which remains a mystery to this day.

As a conservative I am dismayed to see Coulter, Ben Stein and so many others offering utterly unscientific critiques of Darwinism, which today underpins biology, medicine, the pharmaceutical industry, genetic engineering, etc.

And what do Creationism and Intelligent Design have to offer in the way of practical applications?

Squat.
