Am I making excuses for anyone? I'm saying the statement "Jews ruined Hollywood" is not innately anti-Semitic. Perhaps the person who said it could be anti-Semitic! There is no doubt of this! But the statement does not denote anti-Semitism.

Moreover, Kurosawa really isn't that great. Along with Goddard, he's possibly the most overrated director of all time. If you want a Western, it's pretty obvious what country to turn to: you know, Italy. It amazes me that people still lionize a director that pretty much stole all of the basic conventions of the American Western without even adding all that much innovation. Itami is OK I guess. Tampopo was alright. I especially liked the surreal scene where the couple are making out while sharing an egg yolk.

Anyhow, try to be less condescending in your arguments. It really makes you look like a jackass!
