DaveS, Evil Robots, I can't stand to think of all the good people I know who worked their asses off, indeed, risked their lives, to do the right thing, that will suffer from this depiction. All are sons, brothers, fathers, husbands, members of our community, all are doing a job the rest were too lazy to do. It is way off the charts from my own experience, and from the experiences I've heard recounted by others, and even you will admit that the "stories" that you recounted go for about 1 tenth of one percent of your total experience. Yet they are front and center here, again, out of context, and maligning in nature. For sure, veterans recognize some of the characters, but what is infuriating are the characters that are not there. The lack of minorities, the lack of camraderie, the lack of emotion, the lack of dedication, the lack of professionalism, and above all else the lack of context, to name a few, leave non-veterans with horrible impression of our soldiers and cater to those who are predisposed to believe the worst about us.
