I never saw McCain as a hero...most of the soldiers of that time opposed the war and would not cooperate with the Repugnants trying to smear all the vast majority of soldiers who stood up to the military industrial complex, but McCain did cooperate, and full tilt. I saw him as an opportunist, and he blamed the American people for what was a totally stupid policy in Vietnam.

Later on, I rather liked him and had some hopes for him when he was more centrist, although now I think he was just setting us up for this run. Anyone who can offer a foreign policy that seeks to split the world again, and to throw Russia out of the WTO is a real reactionary and really stupid, because those days are just over, at least I hope and pray they are forever gone because world war solves NOTHING, stupid, alpha male beat it with a stick solutions are not viable.
