Re: WTF

I don't get your point....the original poster was obviously posting to information they knew that WAS NOT in the article or disputed a supposad fact included. You are very wrong in stating the writer did not have to do ANY homewrk to write the article.

This is not the 1800's in which a Mark Twainish-like journalist can unleash an article upon the masses about a telescope that can see men on the moon. Then not offer all the proof to support their argument and by proof I mean, scientific proof. If the very topic is scientific supplements and steroids, then I expect the writer to research all apsects of their arguments before drawing a conclusion. That is the responsibility jounalists have, you cannot just write what you want to prove your point of view if you do not use all the evidence.

Otherwise this article and any article that you deem that does not need any homework to write should belong in the National Enquirer or Jerry Springer. Aren't you tired of journalists who have taken lessons from shiesters in the past and incorporate half-truths, blantant untruths, little or no research. Offered mainly opinion to write an article to inflame the uneducated masses to cause speculation and gain some measure of fame?

I am tired of it and in fact have learned that the reason that this world is in the mess it is in is because most journalist now-a-days aren't the Edward R Marrows they want to be. Instead they are aiming to be like the four journalists who caused the Chinese Boxer Rebellion, while they themselves sit up at their fireplaces at home in Colorado and snooze.

The article seemed researched, but it still seemed one-sided, even though the author pretended it was not. Perhaps she is doping, perhaps she is not, but don't write that the alternatives she uses could be true but in the same sentence say it is not true. I find it also interesting in all the other posts by swimmers who say that she could accomplish this because of the races she competes in, and how older swimmers can flourish in these races with technique and such. Why was this missing from the article, I now feel cheated that the author didn't include it and dupped me into falling wholeheartidly into another steroids story.

As for the " do your homework" comment...I have taken two basic anatomy courses in college and understand a bit into what the first poster wrote. I shall do some research and find out what she meant, which is what you .. a human.. should do as well. If you don't research all facts for yourself, then you will only be learning information from people who say they know everything.. but in reality only know a quarter of it.
