There's nothing bad with being careful.
As the report indicates, the administration could have gone to much greater lengths to "be careful." They overstated the degree of conviction the evidence gave them. They made claims which were contra the evidence.
Yes - many of the things they said were supported to various degrees by the evidence - but no one would claim that the administration acted "carefully."
As it turns out almost everything supported by intelligence turned out to be wrong. There is value in being careful.
Of course there is partisan politics - on both sides. And you were attempting to play it. As am I - from up above. I don't always succeed, but I try to value sincerity.
