He may be redefining 'faith' in terms that suit him better. I know I've offered some input on the subject of faith vs. belief before, and generally it gets ignored in favor of preaching (as he's done in this thread). But for my part, I don't care. I don't count the leap of faith as anything special, or admirable. I think it's foolish.
As an aside, is it possible to be convinced of the supernatural without knowing precisely what it's about? If so, then there may be some element of faith left to it. I mean, the sun dances in the sky -- sure, that's great. But is it necessarily telling you to do things? Maybe not. And that could be where interpretation, and faith, come back in. I can't say if this applies to JV-12, though.
