I respect the question but I don't think it's valid.

Iraq could never have happened without Gulf of Tonkin.

Gulf of Tonkin could never have happened without the domino theory.

The domino theory could never have happened without Churchill's "Iron Curtain" speech...

At least three if not four generations are "responsible" for Iraq.

And as I've said here many times before, my own piece of responsibility for it is walking out of that building in 1970, instead of staying in and waiting for the Federal marshals.
