You have a unique way to win friends and influence enemies. Have a little patience. Some of us liberals work and do other little things like maintain homes and go to school too.
To answer your question in a nutshell. Obama was not my choice from the Democratic candidates. My choice was not the party's choice. In our country we don't get the opportunity to elect the person we think is best, we get the opportunity to choose from among those nominated.
You of all people should understand that. It would appear McCain is not the first choice of the standard Republican. Especially since your party called him crazy and father of an illegitimate black child in 2000.
Obama is smart and polished. He has said he will end the Iraq war. McCain does not support equal pay for equal work and he has said he will outlaw abortion. Obama is far, far, better than McCain. That in a nutshell is why I will vote for him.
He also knows that Czechoslavakia was dissolved 15 years ago and he can tell the difference between Shia and Sunni. He also said he would negotiate with Iran, something the leader of all Republicans George W. "I will never negotiate with states that sponsor terrorism" Bush said he would never do. So it's apparent Obama is smarter than both Bush and McCain. That, alone, is enough to vote for him.
And now, after my reasoned and civil reply let me invite you to go fuck yourself.
