baseball is team game... derek jeter has four rings because he plays for the yankees.... bernie williams, posada, oneil,stanton,rivera and pettitte have four rings as well..also el duque ( one with chicago) if omar vizquel played for the yanks when jeter did he also would have 4 rings...clearly if a-rod played here during those years he would have at least 4 rings... this is not golf or even basketball where one player can dominate... this is baseball... where a guy with limited range and the inability to hit in the clutch can get four rings...

Yes, Derek has 4 rings because he played for the Yankees but you cannot say for a fact that if Omar Vizquel or A-Rod played for the Yankees when Jeter did that they would have 4 rings as it would have been a different team and we don't know what would have happened under those circumstances.

They won because of the team they had and Derek did play an integral part on the team as did all of the players.

But you can say that if A-Rod had played for the Yankees during those years, their expected number of championships would be higher.
