New Yorker's cover illustration
by mamabee

The New Yorker's depiction, cartoon..... is HIGHLY inappropriate!!! We, the US of A, Americans all, have troops over in the mid-East, land of Obama, fighting, dying, and making sacrifices for the country, their families, our families, the country, themselves, you, me... everyone! It is not satire because it goes beyond poking fun at Obama. I could certainly appreciate satire. But consider this, is the flag burning, the Muslim garb is a little bit of a stretch if you want to call satire? Is it poking fun, making a joke? Would the troops in the mideast or the military families agree with that view? At whose, what expense? And for someone to even equate making fun of the Obamas to making of the Clintons? INSULT onto injury. Salt is already in the wound, noone needs to rub any more in there. I think the editor, publisher, the New Yorker staff should be at least put them on notice, someone should dismiss miss them immediately!! Yea I spending the time to be irritated about the published cover but it is still my time, my thoughts, my wasted breath.. so if I wish I can ask people to indulge me.
