There are always many ways to interpret the same set of evidence. Ask a scientist or lawyer. It's never as cut and dried as you think:

• Maybe Victory1/LW (I'm referring to them as being the same person) didn't expect people to doubt her claim. Why would she? Proving she was switched is not the point of the letter.
• Is it really so inconceivable that she would do this for grad school? I can think of a number of plausible explanations (she's a lit lady, the possibilities are endless)
• Maybe she sent the letter, then decided not to wait on Prudie's response before contacting the family.
• You essentially concede here that both theories are equally possible. So we agree. You are not certain whether or not Victory1 is lying, and neither is anyone else. Therefore, no one has grounds for insulting her.

Since you didn't respond to any of my points directly, I'll just assume you have nothing to say for yourself. Nonetheless, your rants are mildly amusing - insulting, yes, but not with so much substance that they can't be safely ignored. Every village needs an idiot. Carry on.
