True, except the 'after Revolution French' threw out their old rules and laws, and Napoleon ---as 'emporer', put in the Napoleonic Codes which are still used by French today. The state of Lousiana still has a lot of the Napoleonic Codes encased in their legal system. The French Revolution coming after the American Revolution picked up a lot of the ideas from the Declaration of Independence which they wrote up as the Rights of Man and even Thomas Jefferson helped with the writing of both documents. But, as you dig into 'history', you find as many 'new things' as you find falsehoods and corrections.
