I concur, to those who are not currently working in education or those who are working in education, but are in an ideal situation, they may misconstrue your comment "lesson plans are worthless paperwork".

Depending upon the school where the teacher is employed, a teacher may have beautifully contructed lesson plans, and often due to constant disruptions from students with disciplinary issues, and the students inability to grasp the concept, the educator may be on the same subject FOR 2 WEEKS!!!
