That when you are utterly and sincerely convinced that god has personally communicated his express will to you through the intercession of the holy spirit, you should only confrom to that will if a panel comprised of humans no different than you or I rubber stamp it "Approved". If they veto it instead--a big red "DENIED' stamp--you should bow to their authority rather than god’s.

Isn’t that the situation he describes?
