New Quinnipiac poll shows Obama with sizable lead
by larbabe
Barack Obama’s overall lead against John McCain is 50 - 41 percent in the latest Quinnipiac poll. The majority of his support is among women (55 - 36%) and young voters (63-31%), with unanimous numbers from blacks (94 – 1%).

The presumed Democratic presidential candidate also racks up an impressive lead in purple and swing states (50 – 39%), of which many on Slate claimed Obama would not capture. John McCain takes a slight lead among men (47 - 44%) and greater margin among caucasian voters (49 – 42%). This is understandable, considering that 3 in 10 white voters admit to some level of racial prejudice.
