AT&T 3G
by susmay1

I completely want he iPhone, but can't justify the expense right now considering I purchased two new replacement phones last year. I had a Motorola RZR on the AT&T Network that had horrible reception. I was told that it was the phone technology and the AT&T network. Fortunately (not that I knew it at the time), my phone just died last June. Since the iPhones were not out yet, and I needed a phone, I went ahead and purchased the new RZR phone that operates on the 3G network. Since gettig the 3G RZR I have not had the reception problems or dropped calls that I previously experienced. Unfortunately, I accidentally ran over my phone with my car and had to purchase another phone just four months after I got my new RZR; I purchased another 3G RZR. And, while I would love to have an iPhone and have no qualms about the AT&T 3G network...I can't justify the expense until I've at least had my last phone for a year.

As for the reception on AT&T, before I signed up with them, I surveyed my co-workers and friends as to the company they were with and their satisfaction level. The winner was AT&T, so I went with them. Based on my experience (and my disatisfaction with my previous carrier) and another poll of my co-workers and friends, I will stick with AT&T. Maybe it is the area I live in (Ohio), but I have not had any problems on the 3G network, not when I've traveled around California nor when I drove across the country (from California to Ohio).

So, the bottom line is the I have been very happy with the AT&T service and the 3G network. I just hope the network problems experienced by the author are due to he area he lives in and not the technology of the iPhone, because I do use my phone a lot for phone calls and not just all the other stuff the phone can do.
