Young Children
by slava_f

I have young children (5 and 3) who need to get up for school, and so go to bed around 8:30. This means their dinner starts at 6:15 or so - way too early for me to make it back from work for me (wife works from home so she is there for dinner).

What do others do with such young children? I know a lot of people who have much later bedtimes for their children - but I really do not think it is a good option for us -- it is hard enough to get them up for school (between 7-8AM). Plus earlier bedtimes gives us (the adults) an opportunity to do the chores around the house and spend 10 or 15 minutes talking.

So, is dinner with father worth sleep-deprived children?
