Satire isn't automatically funny
by Travelall

I love good humor and good satire, and while I'm certainly not offended by the New Yorker cover, arguing that it's "good" satire is pretty lame. Sure, it's ironic, but that doesn't automatically make it clever; this is about 5th-grade level satire and again I ain't offended, but neither am I impressed. It's what passes for satire among upper-class liberal New Yorker readers, I suppose. Bully for them.

How about a cover with John McCain using a walker? Now, *that* would be funny!
