night...I hadn't read it in years.

Just finished it again,good action adventure yarn but,still some interesting points,even more so since it was first published 'til now.

They have virtually unlimited power sources and relatively(to us ,lower population),they provide a lot of our major cities with hydro electric power already.Alberta's oil industry is booming,and most of the oil comes here.They have an incredible timber industry and most of the wood comes here or goes to Japan.I was just there last week,and the growth and stability is still amazing,i've been there at least once per year the last five years.

They have virtually no military,counting on the US if they ever have a need for a major military force,they desperately need laborers both skilled and unskilled...

Is there a crazier idea,given our economy and our lack of power sources to actually become,the United States of North America ?

Much to be gained by both sides,little to be lost besides some pride...just a thought ?
