Aren't 18 year olds in general dumbasses?

Face it, 18-year-olds aren't exactly the brightest. I, unlike many others, opted to go to college instead of the army at age 18. I can only tell you one thing: Things don't get much better here folks. You should have seen some of the dumbest things I've seen people did in the dorms, and you should have heard some of the most assine, retarded things I've heard during your typical "2 AM philosophical dorm room discussions". And thats just the sober ones.
The dorm room isn't much of a step up verses the barracks. The "intelligent, sophisticated, well-spoken, colleged educated young person" sterotype isn't really true until you hit the upper-classman level. As for the army guys, aren't they mostly 18 and 19 year old guys. I am guessing 2, 3 years later they will grow out of their dumbassary. I've met a few army guys in my classes, and they generally are the smartest people I met.
