Uh, nope. They weren't fat because they ate too much.

HAs the author of this article seen Wall-E? They explain in the film that over the years the humans suffered bone loss due to a lack of gravity. NOT because they overeat. In fact, the humans are portrayed as fairly innocent, especially the captain who is really one of the heroes of the film. As soon as he realizes what needs to be done, he struggles against his robot overlords to get humanity to Earth. In fact, once the humans land, they seem more than ready to take on the challenge of walking, thinking and working for themselves. If you're saying the gentle jab at our "more is more" culture in the film amounts to prejudice against the obese, you're a bit oversensitive. Next time, try watching the film and not being such a reactionary.
