Fat enough
by digitalmonkeys
I couldn't even finish this article. I am sure that some people can't help being fat. All your science aside I have known many people that went from an active lifestyle to an inactive one and gained a lot of weight. Period. If you don't care enough about your own body to eat right, exercise, and generally take care of the one and only thing in this life that can't be taken away, then I doubt you will care enough to let off the accelerator, take the 2 mins a weeks to seperate out your recyclebles and attempt to care for our failing planet. I am not saying that all overweight people lack green sense, but I do think there is a growing trend to distance one's self from all obligation in regard to the maintenance of earth and to just assume that some gov't agency or non-profit will do it for you. Experiment: Go actually watch Wall-e, be the last person to walk out after it ends and look up and down the rows at all the garbage left for someone else to clean up. Those people that left trash behind don't give a crap about anyone but themselves and will ruin our planet.
