Does anyone else see this cinematic deconstruction as a little superficial? Speaking as a former overweight person, I did not connect obesity directly to a cause of world destruction. Rather, it seems that destruction is caused by a tragic lack of foresight and personal motivation. Obesity is merely a by product of disfunctional societal values. The emphasis which the society places upon leisure and immediacy is the real root of the problems.
