You can't charge people fees for jail time. That what in essence be robbing people not only of the time they are removed from society in the prison, but the time they had stored up in stored currency value from working that would be used to pay the prison fees. Given there is economic disparity among those sentenced and being asked to pay fees for the jail time, some people would be punished more harshly for the same crime. It simply is not fair.
The very fact that you think homeless people should be fined for shitting and pissing in the street is obscenely draconian. These people don't have homes.
Of course if you are a regular Saletan reader, you'd know he wants to genetically screen for predisposition to homelessness and abort these people when they are fetuses because he is an evil eugenic cunt... just google him, he's got his name smeared as an extremist for life now. He will never redeem himself.
