That Billy Collins poem is better than most. One part is particularly interesting:

"I say drop a mouse into a poem
and watch him probe his way out,
or walk inside the poem’s room
and feel the walls for a light switch."

This would seem to reference his poem about the mouse with a match starting a fire that burned down his friend's cabin.
