I know this isn't a recipe exchange place, but (there's always a but) I know there are some great cooks here. We are having around 18 people stay with us for about a week in early August (niece's wedding) and I'm wondering if anyone has ideas for meals for big groups. The bride lives in our city and her parents are in another province, so the guests are ours! A lot of the relatives are coming from the States as well - so any real American specialty would be appreciated.

We will be eating steaks, chicken, etc. off the bbq, but we'd like to have at least 2-3 sit-down, really nice meals. With the amount of cooks/helpers we'll have, prep won't be a problem. Oh yeah, no pasta dishes as hubby only eats spaghetti (I still don't get that one).
