Special treatment by the courts is always a worry. The reason I like this particular idea is that it recognizes that vets are almost guaranteed to have difficulty of some kind after returning from multiple combat tours.

For the moment; we can wait and see if this program works better than letting the vets rot in jail till they really become criminals.
