Re: Competitive eating

"I will say though, that it is usually far more entertaining than your average baseball game. What would you rather watch? A freak show of guys wolfing down 2 weeks worth of food in 12 minutes or a bunch of guys standing around doing nothing in a baseball outfield?"

At least those people standing on the baseball field (while grossly over payed) are not wasting 2 weeks worth of food in twelve minutes. I couldn't bring myself to watch a completive eating contest. Not because it would make me sick but because I have a conscience. I would like to visit some of these "eaters" web pages and see what they think about soaring food prices and $5.00 a gallon milk. I wonder if any of these people who waste food competitively have ever given thought (or a CENT) to a food charity or organization that sends food to Africa, Iraq, Afghanistan...

Shame on these people, and shame on the people that watch them and then complain about high food prices.
