So you went through a medical procedure because someone els wanted you to, and that procedure turned out really, really bad. A piece of medically factually inaccurate paper that is there for political, not medical reasons, wouldn't change that. Remember, this statement is not a "doctor's warning". You yourself said you did sign a waiver, and if I remember correctly all surgical waivers mention the possibility of death. So I don't understand what would have possibly changed for you. You couldn't have known the consequences of this abortion.
And I'm not trying to bash you for having a point of view, I'm just expressing mine. Remember, you said "is it not a form of arrogance that those of us already here then turn around and declare other developing humans unworthy of birth?" The same way you see arrogance in that, I see a bit (and really, just a bit, not a lot, because I do understand that you are coming from a place of pain) of self-righteousness in some of the things you've said (especially when you add "dear" or "dear-heart" to the mix). It just kind of comes off as "My bad experience means that I know the REAL TRUTH, I know bettter." I mean, can you at least admit that most abortions are relatively safe procedures and what happened to you is actually quite rare? Can you admit that study after study shows that pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood are much more physically dangerous and cause much more depression than do abortions? Of course, some women are temporarily depressed after an abortion. But many, dare I say most, move on just fine and wouldn't change what they considered a necessary decision at the time.
