Thanks and congrats on the checkmark.I was certainly born at the correct time to marvel at einstein and clerk maxwell.I also remember the red scare that placed stalin in the same category as hitler.I was born after roentgen and jj thompson.

One engineer I failed to mention was Hans Bott who developed the RCA tv transmitter exciter(1 volt peak to peak) and came over to Harris and developed the most versatile tv exciter ever imagined. It had 300 different adjustments and coupled with the tektronix VM700(unix programmed) video and audio monitor(cost 15k),you could get a complete transparent reproduction of video(AM) and audio(fm). It was completely integrated circuit with 14 plug in cards that could be reworked by Harris.

A final note,I hate the new digital crap!!!Nothing to tweak..It is CPU controlled and locks up at the most inconvient time(weekends).

I did a little further reading on edison.Seems he took his money out of GE and invested in mining iron ore..haa..

He also tried to make a concrete phonograph and when that failed got a contract with NYC for Yankee Stadium with his concrete..You have probably sat on edison concrete...
