Good decision. I have a friend, whose experience may not be what yours could have been. However, she married young, had the 5 kids, followed his other "instructions" about how to dress and how to live her private life, and was given all the work responsibilities of the 5 kids. He had no problems doing the fun stuff, as long as she planned it and did all the work.
Her reward after 15 or so years of this was his leaving her to be a single mother of 5 kids. However, by this time, she was glad to see him go. It was just really hard on one or two of the kids, who thought this was a "normal" marriage, and couldn't understand why such a "good" husband and father would leave them.
