Let's see...I was 16 in 1969, had long hair, loved a lot of the music, not all but most, and I absolutely loathed the hippies. I still believe believe that the hippie movement was of predominantly female concern. How do I say this? It is my opinion that the woman of that era were a driving force politically, ethically, etc and all the guys, with the exception of a few, went along for the easy sex. So for my part, I would listen to what the women had to say but sorry guys, don't try to bullshit a new bullshitter. And I was raised in a Democrat family of extreme catholic conservatism and so yes; don't confuse 'democrat' with 'liberal', they are not the same.
