Umm, I don't think most people are wary of whether the President is Muslim or not specifically because they hate Muslims. It's more likely they are just worried that the President may be the practitioner of the same religion that is fueling many of today's terrorists.

Others feel that a President that practices a religion that isn't one of the most widely accepted religions in the USA isn't really a President that can effectively represent the people.

Of course, it's my understanding that there isn't any real proof that he is a Muslim. So to me it's whatever.
