Yes thy are separate but complete dieties, and this is what I meant by no pretense. I will also say that there is a third God, the Holy Ghost, or Spirit.

As to their equality and differences. They have the same power, the same goals, and even look exactly the same (The Father and Son, not the Holy Ghost). However, they have different Jobs in the eternal scheme. I always liked the enalogy of an airplane. The Father is the Pilot, the Son the Co-Pilot, and the Holy Ghost the atendant.
