It may be unpleasant or unfortunate to be tagged as having a disability; however, she does have one, and it is impacting her work. She has two options. One, pretend she doesn't have this disability and risk getting fired for incompetence. Two, self-disclose her disability and have ADA protection, which includes reasonable accommodation, and may provide legal protections if she later feels she's been discriminated against.
If she had chosen another field, it might not be an issue. For instance, if she worked on cars, she'd have people saying they were there for the '89 Mazda. Or if she flipped burgers, she'd call out ticket number 11, and hand the food to whomever had that ticket. Since she chose a field where dealing with people as individuals is essential, she needs to self-disclose.
