This was a theory I threw out. I'm not sure I believe it myself, but I certainly believe it is possible.

My point is that if Obama's numbers sink enough, the party elite will make him take HRC. And his numbers will sink as long as this retarded side debate about military service is going on. Luckily he has still been doing well, but if that changes, he WILL be made to take her.

And if Wesley Clark openly said 'no' for the VP spot, it would not be good for him. His political career would be seriously diminished. It's quite possible the man really feels this way and really wanted to reopen Vietnam and that Boomer culture war garbage that goes with it. My point is that his comments benefit the Clintons. Perhaps it just happened this way, or perhaps it's political genius on behalf of the Clintons. If Clark wanted to be VP, he would have renounced his comments.

Make no mistake, Mccain must have been gleeful when Clark said this. It makes a whole lotta stuff fair game that was previously off limits. Mccain can get away with a lot more now that the Dems have attached his military service.
