While Republicans like to claim that all democrats are leftist whackos, and all leftist whackos like to claim that all Democrats are as far left as they are...we're mostly NOT.

I'm a social liberal and a fiscal conservative.

But I don't want to be forced to pay for your father's therapy bill.

I believe in the seperation of church and state, and that because both exist, and both are extremely prevalent, they need to come to a working arrangement.

I believe that government is largely there to protect "the rest of us". Let's face it Warren Buffett could be a quadraplegic, jewish, black, gay guy and no one is going to get away with discriminating against him. He's got the $$$!
