I've worked in Times Square for 2 1/2 years

so I've seen a lot of everything fashion-wise. I was just outside and noticed one of the things that make tourists stand out is they tend to be a little overweight. Not that anyone needs to please me, but some of these people may want to revisit their eating and exercise patterns when they get home. I mean, sure, you can look average when you're walking down Main Street, but now that you've lived it, don't you want all those envious eyes following your every move?

I don't get nearly as bent out of shape over what people wear as I do when they stop in a high traffic area. This is my #1 public pet peeve!!! If you're visiting NYC, do not stop at the end of the escalator, either side of a revolving door, the subway doors, the middle of the corsswalk. Either move or go back to you hotel room!

I've actually taken to bumping into people. I do this in the interest of public safety for my fellow New Yorkers. Just a couple weeks ago I clipped this tourist's shoulder good, spun him partly around because he was just standing in a crosswalk. I think he was European. I would've dropped his ass :)
