but your analysis still buys into the axiom that the war in iraq was and/or is good for israel.

i'm a reasonably reliable supporter of israel, and i never thought the war would be good for israel, and i think things have proved me right. and i'm not the only one who feels that way. in addition, i don't think policies which are all iron fist, no velvet glove towards the palestinians are good for israel; nor do i think settling the west bank and de facto annexing it are good for israel. but, since these aren't rightwing views, presumably i'm not a supporter of israel. bullshit, i don't buy into that.

it's exactly the same tilting of the axes the rightwing uses to portray those who aren't behind them as not being supporters of the US.

for the nth time: rightwingers back rightwing policies in the US and in Israel. progressives back progressive policies in the US and in Israel. this does not mean the progressives do not support the US, and it does not mean they do not support Israel. I'm sorry, but the righwingers who say so don't get to make up the rules for me.
