I used to hate texts, since I have a friend who will never call me but will send a text to try and make plans or even to say she is downstairs. It drives me nuts. She sent me a text a few weeks ago asking if I wanted to go to the movies, thirty minutes later when I saw the text I said yes and she never responded. If she would have dialed the telephone it could have been a two minute conversation "Want to see the 6 o'clock?... pick you up at 5" click. I haven't heard a word from her since.
I also hate text speak since I always spell out words, until I got my blackberry (mainly for the GPS not because I need email access 24 hours a day) punctuation was pretty difficult but I always tried to punctuate.
Currently however, I have a special place in my heart for texting since my husband is out of the country. It is our only regular form of communication because of the time difference and because he has limited phone and internet access.
When he comes home I will probably never text regualarly again and curse the people who try to plan events solely through texting.
Messy, can you ask your Boy a silly crackberry question for me? I only recently got mine and I noticed if I use the wall charger the power dies very quickly; even less then a day. However if I use my car charger the charge lasts much longer, about two full days. Does he have this problem? Thanks!
