Airport and airplane security measures implemented after 9/11 pretty much have eliminated the possibility of similar attack ever happening again.

As to racial profiling - go for it. Just one question, do you just pull out the obvious "ragheads". The reason I ask is that the worlds largest muslim country isn't in Middle East, and it's citizens don't look like Osama Bin Laden.

Also, pulling out random people for searches, even though searching your granny is obviously unnecessary, throws an element into the airport security process that terrorist planners won't be able to work around. It also allows screeners to observe the reactions of other people in the que to see how they react.

Think about it, if all we searched were men of arabian descent, wouldn't the terrorists take advantage of that and recruit people that didn't fit the profile? I agree that we should be profiling people of middle eastern descent, but we shouldn't be doing it exclusively.
