I think the Republican party is fine, I don't even have a LOT of problems with conservatives..provided that they actually are.
But let's face it..Republican's say they want smaller government..Bush increased the size of government by roughly 20%
Do we actually have to go into the "balanced budget" claim..two words..RECORD DEFICIT.
And while lower taxes are a worthwhile goal..
underfunded schools, gutted saftey net programs, massive deficits, a pathetically underpaid military, slashed veteran's benefits, etc. etc.
That's one hell of a price to pay for lower taxes on the rich..I mean really.
If Republicans would go back to being Republicans who actually LOVE America, rather than the sort of people who LOVE to amass power and beat other people over the head with how much more they love our country than democrats do, maybe liberals wouldn't think they're all nuts.
GWB..worst President ever.
GWB..worst Republican EVER.
And McCain ain't any better..he's been in congress 26 years..and accomplished ..what?
Of all the candidates in this race McCain is the only one who had the time and influence to have stopped some of this crap. And he did nothing. Or at least nothing effective.
And he's using the same old campaign tactics.."oooh..he's an elitist...ooohh..he's "exotic" (read black)...oooh he's going to force you into unwanted gay marriages ...oooohhh ...he like terrorists, they're his friends...he sometimes has picnics with them, and then feeds them fried American children"
John McCain is weak, inane, and so yeaterday's news. If he'd still been the guy that ran in 2000 maybe, but now, he's just a spineless Bushie sycophant.
