I don't have a more polite way to put this, but if you're never offended by people texting or calling others, while you are trying to interact with them, you're weird.

What does offend me is being called "weird" by a complete stranger on the internet who knows absolutely nothing about me based on a complete banal conversation. What I am not, is weird, hypersensitive, or someone who expects to be the center of everyone's universe.

Let me guess...I'm "weird" because I don't share your exact emotional makeup, right?

And as for you being an "old fart" I'm doubting that. Most "old farts" are actually mature individuals who have outgrown insulting declarations of another's entire personality based on one handful of paragraphs about a superficial topic. (Usually you'll find oh, I don't know, middle schoolers on the playground shouting "you're weird!" at each other.)

If you absolutely must know, I've been called by people who actually know me..."Eerily normal"...."very calm but with active eyes that shows there's a lot going on inside"..."so easy to talk to"...and my personal favorite..."I can't find one annoying thing about you!"

If that's "weird," than thank God I'm weird!
