I have no problem with gun ownership, but it's time guns were treated the same way automobiles are. Ownership should be a privilege, not a right, and owners should pass a test before being licensed, and all guns should be registered, just as they are now.

How could the far right possibly argue with testing owners for competency? How could they disagree with licensing? How could they resist gun registration? The usual argument is that then the gummint would know who owns which guns, but guns registration has already eroded that argument.
