I totally understand where you are coming from on all of that. And generally completely agree with you as well.

I just wanted to get a bit of a sense from people what they meant by that word "afford". Usually, on conservative threads I find that means that unless the little woman can stay at home, don't have kids.

Well, our population would wind up dwindling like that of Europe if we did that since only the very rich (or, oddly enough, the very poor) would be able to do that.

And no, you didn't really get sidetracked. I like your ramblings, actually.
