It's just because their parents didn't beat them enough when they were kids, so they never learned that actions such as stuffing your mouth or spitting out hot food is not acceptable. Nowadays, you can't even swat your brats anymore. The PC crowd says that swatting your children teaches them that violence is ok. What they can't or won't get through their thick skulls is that not swatting the kids teaches them that there are no consequences to their actions. Basically they learn to be a brat.

Recently in Canada, a judge overruled a father in regards to grounding his 11 year old. She wanted to go on a 3-day class trip and he said no, the judge said yes. Personally I don't think the judge should have gotten involved in the issue. Now there won't be any way to discipline her for anything. Can't swat her, can't ground her, can't even take away priviledges because she can just go to court and get them to agree with her. Talk about a brat in the making.
