eBob- I will concede that both candidate (in the way you have defined) want to take away your rights, though one's right to "wealth" as you put it is nebulous. But let's say for the sake of argument that I agree with you.
It is undeniable, however, that the Republicans want to take away your rights more.
Lets take the very timely example of habeas corpus, one of the most fundamental rights in all of history to upholding our civil liberties.
Just last week the Supreme Court, in a 5-4 ruling, insisted upon the habeas corpus rights that the Bush administration has been ignoring for the past 5 years.
To put that another way: the court was just one wrong Justice away from doing away with a cornerstone of civil liberty.
The next President will get two Supreme Court nominees, at least. Obama's nominees will retain our habeas rights, McCain's will shift the balance and we will lose those rights forever.
This is just one issue where the next election matters. And it matters a whole lot. And there are significant differences between Obama and McCain that will, indeed, lead to you losing more rights.
